We are a multinational team intent on exploring the archaeology and history of greater Jezreel.
The Jezreel Expedition is sponsored by the Zinman Institute of Archaeology at the University of Haifa, Israel, and the University of Evansville in Indiana. Norma Franklin (University of Haifa) and Jennie Ebeling (University of Evansville) co-direct the project; Ian Cipin (University of Evansville) is Field Director.
Norma Franklin is a Research Associate at the Zinman Institute of Archaeology at the University of Haifa and an Associate Fellow at the W.F. Albright Institute of Archaeological Research in Jerusalem. Her research has focused on the northern kingdom of Israel and includes ancient building techniques, water systems and technology.
Jennie Ebeling is Associate Professor of Archaeology in the Department of Archaeology and Art History at the University of Evansville in Indiana. Her research interests include women in Canaan and ancient Israel and ancient food and drink technology.
Consortium members include Campbell University, Chapman University, Moravian Theological Seminary, San Francisco Theological Seminary, University of Arizona, Vanderbilt University, Villanova University, and Wesley Theological Seminary.
